Kirkistan: What gives with your slow and sporadic posts?

BooksAre-2-10142015

Thanks for asking.

I’m thinking of my next book. It may be something related to the seven essential questions that shape our expectations about work and life. It may be something completely different. But I am consciously pulling back from daily posts so that I can invest a bit more time in these early stages of exploring what next. These explorations will likely look like blog posts.

Does that work for you?

  1. Works for me! And awesome that you’re working on a book! Go forth and create!! 😉👍🏻

    • Charlie–thanks. But “next” book is critical. I’m still looking for readers for my first book ListenTalk.

      • That’s the best part about the “next” book…if you get readers for that they’ll go back and pick up the first. But I never figured out how to actually get people to buy books so I’m not much help. I’ve got a kids book from years ago still languishing on Amazon somewhere. 😊

      • Very true. What’s your book title?

      • Hehe… The Curious Case of Miser Snoot and the Bibliomaniacs. Lol

      • I’ll be looking that up.

      • Hehe…it was for grade school kids. I think only a handful ever sold. Mostly bought my the grandmother of the guy who illustrated it (I wasn’t drawing at the time).

      • Aha! You’ve been a write all along. I thought so. I looked in our local library as well as the consortium of libraries in our area–no dice. I’ll keep looking.

      • Hehe…I’ve tried to write off and on. Yeah…I think the book is only for sale online now and on Kindle. I’m not sure if it ended up anywhere else!

  2. You are doing the right thing Kirk. I’m changing my posting routine as well. Blogging becomes overwhelming to me sometimes.

    • Thanks, Sharon. There is great value in posting, but it does start to consume, doesn’t it? What’s really funny about is that it is self-inflicted pressure.
