What does collaboration look like to you?

We’re having the same thought, yes?

  1. Stop and get food, but wait, I have to row my boat! Correction: we have to row the boat.

    • Most excellent interpretation. Than you.

      • I also like C’s response! I’m curious what your interpretation is?

      • I’ve been writing about collaboration recently and working in highly collaborative situations. I continue to be amazed when any of us agree on anything. The person visualizing the rowers is trying to get people to move forward in a particular direction. Another person only sees red lights for what she wants to contribute. While the guy is just thinking about food. I’m probably the guy. But I wish was trying to get the team to move together.

      • OH. Yes. That makes total sense now. I sometimes miss the obvious. (Well, often. Sadly.) I get it now. If you put me at the table, I’d have watercolor tube paint in my little thought bubble. I was thinking the stoplight thinker had already left the meeting and was driving home. I understood the guy, totally. hehe.

      • Also – I’ve often really admired your photos with your posts at this blog, but I really like your sketch for this one. It was fun interpreting it! (or trying)

      • Thanks for your kind words. Your interpretation is just as valid as mine. I wrote what I was thinking when I sketched, but once it’s out there it’s open to interpretation. I really appreciate you taking the time to interact with it! I continue to think it is easier to respond to a sketch than it is to a paragraph or page of text. Thanks also for commenting on the photos.

      • You’re quite welcome! I tend to agree with the ease of images vs text.

  2. It takes a team to put food on the table. Bacon cheeseburger from fast food drive thru included.
